What is Hand for Hand Play?

Hand for hand play refers to a time at the bubble of the tournament and of the final table.

During this time, every table will play exactly one hand at a time and then take a break until all others tables have finished the current hand. Then once all tables have finished, a new hand will be dealt to all tables.

This will continue until a player is eliminated and the bubble bursts!

The reason that this happens is to prevent stalling on the bubble of the tournament. Players stalling could cause one table to play significantly less hands than the other tables. This is a big disadvantage on the bubble of a tournament.

Hand for hand play ensures that all tables are playing the same number of hands and keeps the game fair for all players.
