Synchronized Breaks in ClubWPT Gold Tournaments

Understanding when and how breaks occur is a key part of playing Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs). At ClubWPT Gold, we use a synchronized break schedule to ensure fairness and convenience for all our players.

What are Synchronized Breaks?

Synchronized breaks are a feature where all eligible Multi-Table Tournaments pause at the same time, regardless of how long each individual tournament has been running. This means you can play multiple tournaments simultaneously and still take your break at a consistent, predictable time across all of them.

When Do Breaks Occur?

Tournament breaks at ClubWPT Gold occur at 55 minutes past the hour, every hour.

  • Break Duration: Each break lasts for a duration of six minutes.

  • What Happens During a Break: During the break, all action in eligible tournaments is paused. The tournament clock stops, and no hands are dealt. This allows players to step away from their computer without missing any hands or having their blinds posted.

Why Do We Have Synchronized Breaks?

This system is designed to benefit players in several ways:

  • Player Convenience: For players who are "multi-tabling" (playing more than one tournament at a time), a synchronized break schedule prevents them from having to take a break at different times for each tournament. This makes it easy to step away from your computer without missing crucial hands.

  • Fairness: It ensures that no player is at a disadvantage by having to post blinds while other players in the same tournament are on a break. The break affects everyone in the tournament simultaneously.

Important Exceptions

Please note that not all game types have synchronized breaks.

  • Sit & Go's: These tournaments typically have a fast structure and a small number of players, and their speed is a key part of their appeal. Because of this, they do not have scheduled breaks.

  • Ring Games: In Ring Games (cash games), players can join or leave at any time. If a player needs a break, they can simply sit out or leave the table whenever they choose, so a synchronized break is not necessary.

We hope this clarifies our break policy. Enjoy your tournaments, and remember to take a break when you need it! As always, our Customer Support team is here to help with any further questions.
